Following on from the success of Building 3 (Scape) that was completed in May 2018, the client, Rayjon, approached GCB Constructions with the opportunity to assist in the development and planning of Stage 3 (Building 4, Dawn).
After a thorough ECI and design management phase, we were engaged to construct the early works package. This included substantial civil works, piling, and the construction of the basements levels.
This project consisted of 3 parking levels and 113 high quality contemporary designed 2 & 3 bedroom apartments targeting the owner occupier market.
The location and staging of the project presented a number of challenges to the construction team. Maintaining a habitable environment for the current residents, whilst delivering the subsequent stages around them throughout the pandemic, wasn’t easy.
Through our continued engagement with local residents we were successfully able to deliver the project on time, with minimal disruptions, enabling the purchasers to occupy the building prior to Christmas.
