GCB Constructions completed the two level integrated flexible learning centre, for Summerland Christian College.
Construction consisted of new science, performing arts, food tech and visual arts learning spaces/amenities – in total providing a new 1,950m2 education facility.
The building consists of a new ground and first floor split into a northern and southern wing, with a basement store room that opens out onto the existing sports oval. The ground floor comprises of science laboratories, new amenities change rooms and classrooms.
The first floor has classrooms and a performing arts room separated by an operable wall to provide a bigger space; visual arts rooms, food technology center with a cold room, freezer and café.
GCB Constructions, in conjunction with our supply chain partners, developed a number of significant value adds that provided cost savings to the clients team, including an alternative retaining wall and foundation designs.
