Hillsong Church
Tenancy Fitout
Watch Video
Client:
Hillsong Church Aust P/L
Location:
Highland Park, QLD
Architect:
NBRS Architecture
GCB completed the tenancy fit out for Hillsong Church Australia at Highland Park. The Church is approximately 3,678m2 and includes a 700 seat auditorium, café, multiple youth rooms and offices. GCB commenced building works in the last week of 2019 and brought the project to a successful completion by October 2020.
There were a number of key challenges and constraints that presented themselves when designing and working within the existing structure, such as supporting of ceiling mounted items and large height walls which were required to be supported by internal structural steel and numerous layers of soundproofing.

The other key challenge was coordinating works with Hillsong Audio Visual and Events Teams to ensure that all works were available at Practical Completion for community events to roll out immediately after handover. The spectacular new Auditorium now accommodates over 700 people and also has multiple supporting rooms that allow for smaller internal events.
Both project and subcontract teams worked collaboratively across multiple fronts to accelerate the project and deliver an exemplary product.
We feel very privileged to be able to deliver this project for Hillsong, and look forward to working with them again in the future.
